We are so close to having spiritual aspect added to the definition of psychology. Spirit isn't an unscientific phenomenon anymore. Its existence is proven by the rules of physics. In fact, it is our spiritual state that determines our mental and emotional state. Robin Sharma's book called 'synchrodestiny' defines this spirit and mind connection so beautifully.

Insanity focuses on a person's mental state at the time of a crime, and competence focuses on a person's mental state at the present moment. In some states, the mental illness simply impairs the person's ability to control his or her behavior.

People with antisocial personality disorder are always narcissistic. Similarly, it's very typical for people with narcissistic personality disorder to exhibit psychopathic traits.

As per my experience, people with personality disorders would traumatize their kid/s in a way that their kid's genetic disposition would eventually manifest.

Because depression shaming is real! 'You're just lazy!' 'Work harder.' 'Maybe you should start going out more often.' 'Happiness is something you have to master.' 'Don't we all go through traumas?' We need to start becoming more empathetic as individuals as well as professionals.
