Fascinating brief overview of the most common perspectives of morality. I think by those definitions I too would be considered a moral universalist. I would consider this especially since I consider myself a humanist, and as such believe that the work of ethics and morality is down to us to decide and to make the best of.
It's a great introduction to moral thinking, I remember a series on Netflix entitled "The Good Place" and I loved its way of thinking about ethics and morality from a philsophical standpoint without getting too heavy and introduces concepts in a fun and humorous way whilst staying within the show's overall setting.
Great point, @Daniel Sumner. I also think that “The Good Place” is a great show that touches on this important subject. I’m sure it’s motivated a lot of people to dig deeper into the world of philosophy, moral and ethics.
The novel, “Sophie’s World” lighted that spark in me back in the day.
@Vera Eftimovska Oh I never heard of that novel, just took a look at it and it looks brilliant. I'm going to buy a copy looks fantastic thanks for telling me about it. 😁
