I like the points raised about trauma victims exerting control over events which they were denied in the past. From these observations comes the answer maybe. Allowing the victims to exert control might do much to subdue the damage inflicted years before.

Also interesitng is how trauma victims may desire the creation of a safe space and hence why the exertion of control over the environment and others.
