I agree with Emily, I thnk that drug laws are also outdated and legalisation of some drugs would assist in the overcrowding of prisons.
Experiments such as the one shown in Portugal seems to demonstrate that some amount of decriminalisation would ahve a substantial effect on crime.
I think systemic racism and sexism are the biggest issues and they're difficult to change or reform due to how strongly they are built into the foundations of our systems
I think corruption and outdated laws are the biggest issue in criminal justice system. Society is evolving, but still Police is dealing with criminals obsolete methods.
Corruption is main factor, judge and police being corrupt can easily put innocent lives in Prisons.
