It is a great question. I think, we should always be aware of the quality of our relations. It doesn't matter how close they are. I would like to remind you that our personalities are shaped by different environmental factors. Firstly, nothing makes anyone else innocent and correct. Even though this person is our parents, we shouldn't allow anyone to behave in a negative way. We should be open to talk so we need to let them know about how they make us feel. Then, it will be easier for us. These are all my ideas, so I want you to check out an article that I attached below my comment.
There's definitely not a 'one size fits all' answer. The answer IS cutting people off sometimes, sometimes different boundaries, sometimes talking with them, sometimes coping skills
Dealing with toxic people is the worst... It's great if you can spot a toxic individual, most times it's difficult. My best advice would be to just stay neutral, or if it's unbearable, stop seeing them or communicating with them. Of course, this might be difficult when it comes to family members. Try to keep an open mind and understand that it's their problem, not yours. Hope this helps. :)
You may find so many tips over the internet, but whether those tips help or not is uncertain. The core answer is to not let that negative energy get to you and keep your aura clean. The most effective way to do so is through setting boundaries and meditation!

Hi Israel,
Dealing with toxic people is the worst... It's great if you can spot a toxic individual, most times it's difficult. My best advice would be to just stay neutral, or if it's unbearable, stop seeing them or communicating with them. Of course, this might be difficult when it comes to family members. You can't cut ties with everyone. You should put healthy boundaries and let them know, you are not comfortable when they are crossing it.
Keep them as far away as possible. Don't let their opinions interfere with yours
