I need study materials recommendations on parapsychology, especially the experimental aspect. I came across something recently that I really want to dig into.
Parapsychology is not so common topic in academic circles. Yet, I'd say that Jungian theories are the closest that we can get on this subject, without straying too far. I would recommend his autobiography - "Memories, dreams, reflections" as a fantastic, fascinating, and at times almost fictional read.
There's also an article titled Jung, Parapsychology, and the Near-Death Experience: Toward a Transpersonal Paradigm, that you might find interesting - https://digital.library.unt.edu/ark:/67531/metadc1051969/m2/1/high_res_d/vol3-no1-3.pdf
hey...I have an article I wrote on the shamanic view of mental illness (particularly in relation to schizophrenia). If you are interested in anthropology/psychology there are lots of forums for that I am sure. Best of luck and look into the shamanic view of mental illness it's great and has many peer reviewed articles.
Parapsychology investigates paranormal and psychic phenomenas including perceiving the future, clairvoyance, telepathy, ESP, telekinesis, and OBE’s. This field of psych is usually found to be false and is challenged due to methodological concerns. There’s just not a lot of evidence to 100% support it.
