Do you believe drug legalization could have positive impact on decreasing crime rate? What are the pros and cons of drug legalization?
I certainly agree with some sort of decriminalization of drugs especially given the data in Portugal.
I've posted a link to the UK Guardian link for a look at the stats.
Instead of outright arresting those in possession - those found with drugs were directed towards a doctor, lawer etc, or given a warning.
Opioid cases stabilized and HIV saw some dramatic turns. In 2000 cases of HIV were 104 per one million in 2015 cases were 4.2 cases per million.
However this doesn't mean drugs are legal rather the consequences of being found with certain drugs don't carry as severe a consequence.
However, any decriminalization also needs helping with treatment and caring for those where socioeconomic status reduces overall life satisfaction.
