I agree with Daniel here, hair play a useful part in toxicology.Many drugs can be tested from hair.Also hair are also a source of DNA. If certain number of hair are extracted from a crime scene it can send to the lab for DNA testing which will play a huge role in finding the perp's identity or to exonerate a suspect.
