The current DSM model (currently in its 5th revision) aims to categories individuals with psychopathology into discrete categories. This all or non approach is one of the many pitfalls of the DSM model that the HiTOP model (Hierarchical Taxonomy of Psychopathology) aims to address. Thanks for sharing this article! Indeed, it has been an "open secret" that DSM 5 has its limitations. This would be a huge change if ever as it would impact not only the clinical setting but also the educational milieu.
